I found it outraging that Trump was so fast to call the national guard on BLM protesters when they were just peacefully protesting for just basic human rights, but when Trump supports who are mostly white supremacist storm the Capital and he doesn't really want to take a violent approach to it. However it sadly it doesn't surprise me, but then again people say white privilege isn't real and Trump isn't a racist. When this is a perfect example of both. The Trump supporters should just be called terrorist because they are people using unlawful force to pursuit a political aim. Its ironic to me that there are videos of Trump supporters chanting blue lives matter as they push and violently tried to get through cops. This is just evidence to support the claim that they only reason they chant blue lives matter is to try to silent the Black lives matter movement. When reading the article I found it funny that some lawmakers tried to object electoral votes results in two states for election fraud, but had no evidence to support their claim. I also find it funny that Pence can except the lost, but Trump and his supporters are still in denial. The fact the Trump doesn't want to peacefully transfer power is embarrassing for America and the irony in that white supremacist are mad about another white old man going to be in power makes me dumbfounded. https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/capitol-police-officers-support/2021/01/08/a16e07a2-51da-11eb-83e3-322644d82356_story.html
"The Hill We Climb''
I think that Amanda's message is that we must move as a whole country in unity to help repair the past in order to pave a better future. I agree with her message because if there is still division between people in our country we can not make a different and better future for ourselves and the next generation. I like the way she concluded her poem by saying " There is always light if were brave enough to see it, if were brave enough to be it'' because I interpret it as if we want to see change than we need to be the change. "...a
nd yes, we are far from polished, far from pristine, but that doesn't mean we are striving to form a union that is perfect. We are striving to forge our union with purpose, to compose a country committed to all cultures, colors, characters, and conditions of man. And so we lift our gazes not to what stands between us but what stands before us. We close the divide because we know to put our future first. We must first put our differences aside,"I agree with this passage because perfectly explains what the union between Americans must be in order to pave a a future different from the past.

Joe Biden's inauguration speech
Joe Biden's message is that we need unity most of all so we can set our sites on what we can be and will be. The presidents plans are to confront supremacy, to have the dream of justice for all to not be deferred longer(In his words), to battle Covid 19, and battle climate change. One passage that I agree with is "..We must set aside politics and fight the virus as one nation...'' because its necessary to get rid of the virus. A passage that stood out to me was "... and we'll lead merely not by example of power but power of example..'' because I interpret it as that we will not use violent power to lead but instead be an example of power made out of strength and perseverance that people will follow proudly.
